American Idol Results: Alexis Grace was not saved! PLUS: Adam Lambert Drag Queen Photos emerge!
Alexis Grace was eliminated from this season’s American Idol last night. Adam Lambert was safe, yet for how long? It’s that time of the season, when America’s votes are being cast for their real favorite performers now. Lambert is considered a favorite, yet now he has to deal with Internet photos that don’t cast him in a favorable light. Can Adam Lambert withstand the storm that might be brewing?
Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardia decided maybe to give Alexis Grace the “Save” card and keep her; but, only if she could sing for it first. That is a lot of pressure to put on anyone! Poor Alexis Grace.
On Tuesday’s American Idol, the judges were not wild about her handling of the Dolly Parton song that Alexis decided to cover. Last night, she was singing “Jolene” to save herself. Alexis’ her nerves and adrenalin were clearly effecting her second attempt, and not in a good way. The judges decided to pass on saving Alexis.
Alexis Grace had a lot of grace, handling her elimination without any real drama. She thanked everyone for the opportunity to be on American Idol, very professionally.
Adam Lambert had performed a Johnny Cash hit, “Ring
Of Fire” on Tuesday nights live, American Idol. Simon Cowell thought it was rubbish, Kara was completely flabbergasted, not knowing what to say or how she felt about it. She finally settled, saying she liked it. Randy thought it was a great update, comparing Lambert’s rendition to “Nine Inch Nails”. And Paula, is Paula.
I personally laughed so damn hard over Adam Lambert’s “Ring of Fire”, I almost wet myself! What a riot! For me, his version sounded like “Nine Inch Nails” on acid. Was this the right song choice for him? Was Lambert’s rendition of this country favorite a wise decision for him to have made?
Presently, I can only imagine that Adam Lambert covered “Ring of Fire” as a “send-up” - tongue in cheek statement, about his disdain for country music. No real harm in that, yet a bit risky. Could you really call Adam Lambert’s “Ring of Fire” a tribute to Cash or country music?
This is a clip of Adam Lambert performing Ring of Fire on American Idol.
The judges like Lambert, and he does have a large fan base. Adam must have felt safe enough from falling votes for this week, considering himself safe. As it turned out, he was more than safe and seemed to know this.
The public can be fickle at unexpected times. So can prime time television networks. Millions upon billions of viewers tune in to watch American Idol every single week. It’s a national past-time!
What happens to an American Idol contestant that has photos of him in drag and french kissing with another man? What happens when those pictures suddenly become viral on the Internet, with a few million people seeing them? Then what happens to that contestant when high profile network new shows decide to show those pictures to a few million more TV viewers?
We will probably be hearing a lot about Adam Lambert’s personal life on the prime time news shows within a matter of moments. These are a few of the Adam Lambert pics that are available at more than a few different online sites right now. OMG Adam! Did you really believe these photos would not get leaked to the mainstream?
I am more than a little curious to see if American Idol will disqualify Adam Lambert, or let him stay in this season’s competition. My guess is, American Idol will not want this type of adverse publicity surrounding it. After all, American Idol is a family show; sort of? We will just have to wait and see what transpires - if anything.
